I'm trying to guage interest level for this idea. I have someone who is interested in doing either a land contract or lease option on a property located in Maryland. The catch is that the buyer wants to choose the home. The current prospective property is an auction property that is a cash only deal. It's in a $400k neighborhood, needs about $50k in updates and auction starts at $160k which is below seller reserve as it's listed for $364k. It's on a pre-sale which means it can sell before auction. I'm not sure how it all works but I would like to know if there's someone who would be open to working on this with me? If the auction property doesn't work then there could be other possible homes of interest.
