need mentor for north carolina

I am looking for a mentor in Raleigh,North Carolina. Someone who has some spare time and willing to teach one on one. I am motivated and willing to learn, I have read books but I know learning on-hand is the best. I don't have alot of money and my credit thats not even worth talking about. I know if there's a will there's away. So if your interested and willing please respond.

I believe MENTORS are worth their weight in gold. I met my mentor via facebook andit has been a pleasure. The knowledge I've gained in the last 3 months is tremendous. He gives assignments and explains everything.

Location may be important to some - not to me...I'm in NY - he's in Vegas (phone & emails work just fine).

It's been such a rewarding experience and if I APPLY what has been poured into me...SUCCESS is just around the corner.

I can only SHARE what has worked for me.

Scott, share with me a little more about what you want to accomplish as a real estate investor. For instance, are you wanting to become a landlord with multiple rentals and cash-flowing properties, do you want to buy fixer-uppers to rehab and flip, or do you want to get into the wholesale game as a broker? Without some capital to play with, your options are limited, but if I knew what your goals were, I would be willing to help you get started.

I'm wondering how you made out with this.....I'm new to the BP web site and located in Hillsborough, NC. My situation is similar (looking for a mentor), just wondering if you found someone local.

Hey guys I am new to BP but I am from NC and have been investing full time for 4 years now. Shoot me over any questions you might have. Only thing you need to realize is that NC's foreclosure laws differ greatly than most other states.

Thanks for the reply, Im about to pay off one of the loans that has been holden me back but a question for you is how diff. are the laws here in north carolina, also some one told me its better to get a biz to do real estate then to just go out and do it. I want to buy and hold, I need someone to help me through my first couple of deals from start to finsh. please email me back and thank you for your time.

Well there are plenty of great deals in the Raleigh area right now for the holders out there. I for one am not one of those guys. So my info could be skewed. Just an FYI. About the laws I do know alot about. There are no right of redemption after the sale of the home, 10 day upset bid period (awful law for those of us who do our own research, etc.) Personally I feel like you can find your own deals but thats personal view.
