Hi, so I finished their boot camp, there's the follow up.
I just finished their boot camp today in LA. First, sitting there for 8 hours a day, 4 days in a row, I was quite surprised that I didn't get bored. They were quite entertaining and kept things moving. I feel like I learned a ton of stuff and really got a solid overview in how it works. They seemed to get a lot of the basics into the 4 days and could easily spend another 4 going into even more details. The downside of course is that there's always sales pitches going on. The guys themselves only pitched additional services the last day. But each day, the last hour or so was spent with a guest speaker. They of course had their own boot camps or programs or whatever they were pitching. Some were worth the time because you learned a bit about the subject. One other didn't give one piece of info and she purely just pitched the whole time. They take frequent breaks which allow people to network or make phone calls and try to do deals. While yes, they are making a ton of money off their boot camps and products, they really seemed to care about helping us out. They even did a couple live calls for students to try to get more info. I'll buy books and occasionally cd's if they're not too expensive, but doing a boot camp is never something I'd ever seriously considered. I have no regrets and I'm sure if you put to practice what they teach, even if you sign up for the advanced coaching, it would be well worth it when you get your first deal done. I have no affiliation with these guys, just a residential investor looking to get into commercial.
To follow up on my prior post about finding the deals and being tough to hit the criteria; well yes, those deals are not a dime a dozen, but they teach you how to filter through everything and get to the prospects quickly. There were about 4 students that actually had deals they found either from the time they signed up or during the boot camp that were deemed possible and just needed further investigation to see if a real deal could be made. There was a student that was taking the class again and had closed on a deal 2 weeks after his last class. The deals are out there, you just have to sort through and find them. But as is the case with all investments.
