Curious how many people are using WordPress in their Real Estate business. What do you think of the Studio Press AgentPress theme?

Thesis all the way here too. I used to use Studio press; however, thesis gives you so many more really cool optons....Also, I love the Big ______ Save button...it cracks me up every time we use it.
Dave how much did you pay for your site design?? I have a national site I am setting up soon.
Word Press can be used for full websites and not just blogs.
Part of the problem with these Wordpress Companies is they put their info at the bottom and steal your SEO juice.
The platform I use that I want to stay in wants 1,500 to 2,000 to design my word press site I want.I know elsewhere I could probably get it done for under 300 to 400 but they will take the SEO juice which I don't want.
Basically if I could get the design part done for cheap and then plug it into my provider and keep the SEO juice would be what I am after.
@Joel - won't you be SEOing for local business? Or are you SEOing nationally/internationally?
It's a national website for what I will be doing.I have over 10 websites currently focused on different niches.
The system I belong to uses a special SEO platform where everything interconnects so for ranking it is very important to have it on that platform versus a company designing it and pushing people to their site.
Not an expert on Wordpress. Can't someone just design something for me where there info isn't all over it??
I've been using it on all of my websites.

Haha another +1 for Wordpress with the Thesis theme.
I tried to like drupal & a couple other CMS' but I always end up back with Wordpress
Wordpress all the way. It can be as simple as Blog only or Full impact. Use the Thesis theme. You can hire a contractor on the job sites such as ODesk. Once setup it is easy to maintain. Plenty of plugins to enhance your site for what you want to do.
I will let you know in a couple of weeks. I am currently on Joomla, and we just started my new wordpress site for my blog. I welcome any suggestions from you long time users.

I see the Thesis Wordpress theme recommended quite regularly. What features of that theme make it stand out from the others?
@Joel, Yes your Wordpress site can be branded, designed, developed and hosted on a php platform, anyway you wish. It's only if you hit the bigtime choose managed hosting solution like Wordpress-VIP, that you will have additional Wordpress branding required.
Wordpress is one of the best open source CMS solutions out there. Chock full of free plug-ins so a non-developer can get a lot of common functionality right out of the box.
However, if you want custom functionality; functionality that is out side the norm of most websites, then Wordpress is tougher to develop in than the more recent frameworks. For example, there are CMS solutions like Wordpress that are built in Rails, Django, and even Node.js. Those are much more easy to extend with unique functionality, because it's built in an MVC framework.
With Wordpress you have a great free open source CMS because of how long it has been around. However, with thesis and many other Wordpress theme frameworks, adding functionality out of the norm may take longer and cost more.
Wordpress is the probably the way to go if your website is pretty straight forward. Most investor, agent and broker websites seem to be. If that's the case it's probable that Wordpress already has every plug-in built that you need.
I'll have to check out Thesis. I've been working with Thematic, but hear better things about Thesis on this and other sites.
You can hire a freelancer to custom build you a great wordpress site on www.freelancer.com for pretty cheap.
Jerry -
Wordpress is a content management system that sits on a webserver and which can be viewed on any browser. Yes, it definitely works on macs.
