I know that there are at least a handful of investors in the Buffalo and Rochester areas on board. Be patient . . . I'm sure a few of them will pop up.

BTW - I also find myself responding to myself on the forums once in a while . . . don't worry - its not a sign of insanity or anything! :lol:

I have been an investor in Buffalo but live out of state.

I currently have a 10 unit, in great condition, for sale, on 363 Breckenridge in the City of Buffalo if anyone's interested. I am moving my smaller apartments into larger ones.

Well, OK....I'm not technically in Western NY, I am from NYC but my work and investments are in Central NY - about two hours east of Buffalo in Syracuse. I am very active as an investor, real estate attorney and property manager in the Syracuse metro area as are many of the investors I work with (many of whom come from California, NYC, Colorado, Illinois).

From my research, travels, contacts, etc., I opted to invest in Syracuse over Buffalo as the fundamentals of the market seem immensely stronger (slowly rising property values, long term business investment and development, low unemployment rate, abundance of universities and colleges, centralized location, etc).

Syracuse has also been ranked over the past couple of years as one of the most stable housing markets in the country by several periodicals.

Although I don't know of a local real estate group in the Syracuse area, I have a good number of contacts and real estate business ventures there and I'm always looking to meet people who are or might be interested in this market..

I'm looking forward to meeting that someone online here!

I am an investor from Rochester. We have a local group here, Freedom First REIA. It is a very good group with many knowledgeable investors.

I attended a REIA meeting in Syracuse last year and was not very impressed. The group seemed to lack leadership, and I did not get much out of it. I have not attended any meetings in Buffalo.

Hi,

I am a new investor living in NYC working to get into wholesaling and invest in the Buffalo market. I would love to connect with other investors up there.

It would be great if someone could tell me when a good REIA meeting might be held up there so that I can time a trip to explore the area and attend a meeting at the same time.

Hello All,
I have been an investor in Buffalo for about 20 years now. I own 17 properties, but that number is always changing because some I hold and some I sell (not flip.... I hate that term, especially here in Buffalo).
I'm also a licensed realestate agent here and I work with investors all the time. My company does property management and inspections as well as security and winterization.
I don't know of a good investers club locally, although I have attended several over the years and they seem to come and go with the wind. If I can help with some of your questions please feel free to ask.
