I have a property that I am motivated to sell and I am wondering what is the best way to market the property to a motivated buyer. I am open to everything and anything. Thank you

Craigslist is a good option depending where you live. Also, marketing strategies such as auctions get attention and help you attract buyers.
There's nothing wrong with using traditional offline marketing as well (i.e. ads, classifieds, etc.)
Not sure what situation your in...But i have used the 5 day auction several times only costs a few hundred advertising and an open house. You'll know right away your buyer pool in that area and price range.

Just a thought
Ok, here goes some more of my rantings...
Anyone remember PET ROCKS or even Wacky Wall Walkers?
I mean seriously, how come we all had to have a PET ROCK. I went in my backyard and had a rock. Why were people paying for them in stores?
They made the rock something people wanted, and marketed it that way. So, finding motivated buyers, depends on the buyers in that area, what would they want? What would make them HAVE to buy your home, then focus on that.
Trust me on this one, just take a few moments to contemplate this some, and you will amaze yourself with the ideas you get.
Put a large sign in your front yard and more signs on the road that say:
Owner Desperate, Must Sell Now
Call 555-555-5555
Offer owner financing also and you will not have trouble getting rid of the property.
I agree with Primo, but you are going to have 80% of people that call you and ask " why are you desperate?" . I'm not sure if they are just bored, or if they are sadistic or if they just got their first cell phone, but you will get a lot of people that ask you that before they ask you about the house.
The problem is, you have to have a reason that your sign says, " I'm desperate" . If they ask you and you just say, " I'm not, I make a lot of money in RE, just needed something to make you call" , they are most likely going to hang up.
where I live an ad in the local newspaper goes a long way.
But having open houses every Sunday never hurt.
try a big 'ol rent-to-own sign in the yard. Even if you don't intend on doing a lease option, this will generate lots of interest.
I have done this before and got loads of interest and when someone says " hey I want it" then tell them to see if they can get pre-approved first and you never know they just might be able to get a loan, and the you've got it SOLD.
Best of luck to ya!
submitting to classified directories is good try locanto..
You may want to try an auction. Some areas get very good numbers at auction.
Call some auctioneers and go to some auctions of similar properties and check the buyer turnout and the bids vs what you think the property is worth.
(Ooops, I fixed a typo. I earlier wrote " dis" which was changed to " bids" )

Could you auction a house that you have a contract on, and/or intend to wholesale? Curious.
Yes, when you have a property under contract you have " equitable interest" you can resell the property. If you have an assignable contract you can simply assign that or settle and quickly resell. This can be done either via an auction house or MLS and an agent.
However be aware some auction companies or brokers may not be comfortable with that so you may have to do a little hunting to find a company to do it for you. But yes it is done all the time.
I sort of agree that it may not be the best idea to say desperate to sell, simply because you don't want to have their expectations be that you will offer a low price.
Instead maybe have your directionals include the very best feature in the house like
"Home For Sale
>>>>>>>>>>
Large Backyard!"
Then the sign that you place in your yard could offer the phone number to access a free audio report where you would have a description of the house on a voicemail as well as website where they can download another free property report with photos of the house.
