Does anyone know of a good answering service that can collect general info. from a script? I have been noticing that people don't like leaving messages. I have a lot of calls but now no messages.

if you find an answering service make sure they have caller id, because some don't capture the phone numbers from prospects unless they leave the tele.

let us know what you find.

I use Pat Live www.pative.com, they use a script, capture the phone # and work for a lot of investors!

A Live Answer, Inc has always given me the best answering service. They have caller ID with number and name and they even put in your messages for you. There is even service available in Spanish, which is pretty hard to find but invaluable. Here is there contact information.

Rob - You lost all credibility by acting as though you were a customer of this company, when you have an email address from the company.

Manipulating people is not the way to give your company a good reputation here on the site.

That is hilarious. He didn't think people would notice? Unbelievable.

On the original subject does anyone know much about these answering services. Recomendation? How much the cost?

Real Estate Investor · Blackwood, New Jersey

I have looked into them but they are too expensive for me at this point. I do think they help but the cheapest ones I saw was like $70/month.

I use a voicemail... and this script...

I ripped off from buddy Joe Kaiser years ago.... :)

· Red Oak, Texas

Joshua...

I posted a free script I use... completely 100% Free Gratus....

did you check the link before you remeoved it.. ??

Anyway it seems you made the link go away... what gives...

Wasn't advertising anything... was helping folks something with what's actually a very "big Secret" technique I use...

just curious...

I totally agree with Charles and find that the personal touch is what sets my business apart from the rest of the marketplace. I don't do radio advertising though!

· Red Oak, Texas

Charles....

Agreed....

Real businesses answer phones and/or give customers a way to get things done...

I simply have a Voice mail system in between me and them that screens for
motivation very effectively....

When Joshua, responds to my post above... I'll repost the script link...

For others... to use..

Good Eye Joshua. Keep up the good work.

Can a "$10.00 an hour clerk" do as good a job as you in answering the call and qualifying a lead and selling, etc etc? Not on your life.
But even people who call at 2-4am hate with a pashion leaving a message on voice mail. Those who choose to enlist the assistance of an answering service or virtual assistant use them with the same conviction and success as those who choose to answer their calls 24/7 or fraction there of. Each has merit and each has challenges.
It's about finding the right solution and the right vendor to meet your needs.

If you're looking for a good answering service that can take messages based off a script, why don't you just go with Full Scope? They have professionally trained operators around the clock, free unlimited message delivery, caller ID, and you even get free service with them.

I'm not really sure how it works cuz I've never had to use an answering service, but I know a good number of people who are very happy with them because they have either very low monthly payments or free service with them.
I know someone who only pays $49 a month with 'em.

I've been using voice connect inc. They are expensive and add a lot of fees up at the end of the month but they are able to input the leads directly to my website. I run an ad or put up bandit signs and callers give their information directly to the operator. I changed the script so the operator answers like its my company.

I cancelled it for a while since I stopped advertising but I'm starting it up again since it's a very hands free way to get my leads into my database no matter when or where they come from.

If I'm asleep or at the lake I don't have to worry about it. To me, thats well worth the $60-120/mo. They have a couple different pre-determined scripts depending on who you are and who you're targeting.

I tried pat live as well but can't remember why I changed...think it was the pre-made scripts and pat live charges you a flat fee plus $/minute. Voice connect gives you a flat monthly and then some minutes are included. If you try them out, you need to stay on top of the minutes because I found a few times where the calls would last 20 minutes and I never got a lead. Thats the only bad thing I had with them.

Hope that helps.

I've never used an answering service personally. But, I do know of others who have - the results have been mixed. I think the hard part is hiring someone who knows how to ask the right questions in a way that is not intimidating. To be honest, talking and working with people is more of an art than an exact science. If you're looking for an answering service to work with, it may be best to do a trial run to see how effectively it works. Hope that helps!
