I have been starting a bandit sign campaign in NYC. An issue here like some other parts of the country are that most of the main roads have metal lights and no wood poles. We have been using electric zip ties to secure the signs, but I see some pros (the cash for car guys) using some type of black adhesive.

We are looking to speed up the act of putting up the signs and I was wondering if anyone has any experience using this black adhesive, know where I can get some and any other tips.

I don't know about you guys, but zip ties from Home Depot are a RIP off. My sign guy used to sell them to me for dirt cheap, and I couldnt figure out where he got them. He stopped carrying them so I figured I would ask.

He used to sell me the 50lb ones which I liked because they were easier to thread. But after using the HD ones I think the 175 lb ones are harder for kids to rip down etc. Anyway I got a box of 500 for 72 bucks. where a pack of 20 at HD costs 10-12.

So, on top of posting illegal signs, you are going to smear the pole with adhesive and add vandalism to your activities?

I can't imagine that smearing glue would be any quicker than using zip ties, unless the glue is in a spray can.
