Does anyone here have experience with doing wholesaling or options in the state of Louisiana? Since Louisiana law is different from just about everywhere else, I wanted to talk with someone who has done this kind of work in the state I live in. |

bpb, i'm a novice wholesaler here in Metairie and what I do is type up my own contract based on wording from the Offer To Purchase contracts I get at Office Depot. I've faxed them to sellers and haven't gotten any complaints. |

A few questions 1.)Have you had an attorney look at your contract? 2.)Do you use any escape clauses? 3.)Are you a member of Noreia? |

1. No 2. Yes, basically they're: subject to inspection and if the buyer can procure funding. 3. I was for about a year, yes, and i know quite a few of the "heavy hitters" but in all honesty, I didn't really learn anything there that I couldn't find online.

Have you had any problems assigning contracts (attorney, title company)? Have you done a double closing? |

I am not from Louisiana, but I can give a bit of advice. Give a call to a few title companies there in town. Tell them what you plan on doing and if they can accomodate. Then send them the contracts you plan to use via email. If they have no problems with those, then you are golden. |

Thanks for the tip! Jason, do you and your father use a wholesaling contract written by a real estate attorney?
