Were any of the investors able to get an account with either one company for the purpose of tracking down the owners of vacant properties?
I have got a bunch of vacants, county records are outdated and all the mail comes back. Free internet searches are not able to find new addresses either. Not easy to track them down.....
I need a reliable yet affordable solution to track down new adresses and phone #s for the owners.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Here are some suggestions:

When you find a vacant home get out of your car and look around the front door. You can usually find old mail, doorknockers or city cut off notices which will have the owners name on it. Second step is to knock on the neighbors doors (right, left and across the street). Inform the neighbor you are interested in purchasing the home; this will inform them you are not a bill collector and they may help you, especially if you offer some kind of referrall if they help you find the owner and you buy it.
I just remembered I did a you tube video on this exact subject and gave some free websites and other information on how to guarantee you can find the owner for free. Just goto you tube and put in my name Erick Gause. i think it is still there.
