Anyone own a credit repair agency? I'm asking b/c so many people I know need this service. I'm actually thinking about starting an agency to help people.

i have never been a big fan of " agencies" they do the same old simple things and never really make a very big difference. however, i guess it would be a very good business to run if you really know some good methods other than the typical contest contest contest way of doing it.
I have my tenants use kroll intl for disputing and monitoring, and pre paid legal for more advanced disputing. It works great, and it teaches the tenant how to handle their own issues.
I am the owner of a credit repair company.
As the company stands to-date, we are a fully functioning personal finance corporation. I have negotiated with various entities in the business to bring you a more complete and acceptable service. I personally take care of the credit repair, but there are now many different businesses in our network. All here to better serve you. Along with the credit repair operations, we also do Debt Consolidation, Credit Rebuilding, Credit Restoration, Budget Analysis, Mortgage Pre-qualifications, Mortgage Audit, Loss Mitigation, and Repossession and Foreclosure Prevention.
The Credit Doc, LLC operates on a non-profit basis. Here is how We operate. There is a $50.00 application fee due at the time of the consultation and you would pay NOTHING else until services are fully complete, and since we are now non-profit, the client only makes a donation that they can afford. NO SET FEES! NO SCAMS!
Call me with questions or post here for questions.
Before signing up with a credit repair company, make sure to check if they are a member of NACSO. You can do a simple search at www.nacso.org by either the exact company name or by phone number.
Call the company and specifically as them if they are a member. If they are not, do not do business with them until they are. Membership is vital and proves that companies that are registered with NACSO have complied with all state and federal laws, have adequate customer service options as well as been in business for at least one year and have submitted information about themselves, the company and submitted pictures of the office to ensure compliance with data handling.
These are just some requirements of being a member.
Many companies are not members simply because they cannot qualify.
You can repair your own credit for free with some research. I repaired my own credit years ago with a book i got from amazon called credit repair by Robin Leonard. I don't know if she has anything new since its been over 8 years since i did mine.
Also check with your state to see if you have to have any special licensing to repair credit for other people.
Repairing your own credit is pretty simple to do as long as you are not asking the bureaus to remove correct information.
I just partnered with a Credit Repair company in Southern California that has been in the industry for 15 years. They showed me current examples of their work and a laundry list of happy customers. There were multiple examples of deleting Bankruptcies. The company looks for any inaccurate or unverifiable information on the credit report. I send them all my business for my credit repair program for auto dealers.
Let me know if you would like more information on them.
I'm going to stay neutral here so nobody gets upset with me :) You may message me privately and I can point you in the right direction.
