I wanted to share the response I received from Fannie Mae regarding their bulk REO sales program. Let me know your thoughts or questions.
"Dear REO Investor;
We would like to thank you for your interest in purchasing Fannie Mae REO properties through our Pool Sales Channel.
In an effort to better understand your investment needs and preferences, we are requesting that you complete the attached "Investor Background Worksheet" at your earliest convenience. The information requested within the attached worksheet will help us get to know your company and understand your specific investment needs.
You are asked to share with us information about your company's background, availability & sources of funding, past and projected future purchase volume (number of units or dollar volume and frequency), property criteria (condition, value, property type, etc.), preferred property locations (states, MSA's, etc.) as well as other information that will help us better understand your investment focus.
Currently, Fannie Mae schedules pool sales with properties from all over the country. These REO pools are pre-packaged and must be bid on in their entirety. The geographic mix will vary depending upon our business needs. There are times when we will structure a pool with properties located in a specific region and other times when they will be national or multi-regional in scope.
It is important to know that our REO pool packages are not customizable at this time. We are currently exploring the opportunity to provide you the ability to request custom pools, and will notify you if this strategy is implemented.
Upon receipt of the attached "Investor Background Worksheet", we will update your companies contact information and buying preferences. You will then receive announcements about future sales for your investment consideration.
Please complete the attached worksheet and return it via email to:
Thank you again for your interest in purchasing REO properties from Fannie Mae."
