I have a bank source that is selling performing and non-performing notes. High 30's to low 60% of remaining value. $50M minimum. Buyer has to proof up before my source is brought into the discussion.

Skylar - This is not garbage. Happened upon this source while looking for something else. Source is a bank. Not Waste Management.

Steve - Read the post. How am I in a buying position? Came across the source. Why would I proof up to them?

I don't know who's crazier. The people who believe they can broker a $50 million deal by placing a free ad on a forum or the people who believe they can find the financing to buy a $50 million deal by placing another free ad on a forum.

Eddie: I may have a source for you who can proof up. But before he is willing to proof up he requires that your source is willing to proof up on the legalites of these securities being sold outside of the SEC guidlines that the banks must adhere to, and the proof that these securities do exist under the control of the bank.

PM will be fine if you are afraid to deal out in the open.
