1,200,000 foreclosures?
30,000 investors here at BP?
that averages about 40 houses each.
I am sure there are loads of investors not here.
so if 10% of investors are here, that's 4 houses each.

Why should he do what he does he's involved in the biggest scam in history.
I think it may be possible to fix the economy without his help.
As far as the currency I think he is capable of great destruction if people allow him to continue his excessive spending. Can we operate without that currency? Time may tell.
Will he be held accountable for his actions? Is he the most famous fraud artist in recent history? That I don't know.
We had 4 days of upmarket but today the investors woke up again and showed what they really thought. The Dow dropped 162 points in less than 2 hours. Hows that for confidence in what hes doing?

Don, I think the lack of confidence is in the market and the economy, not the president.
Shana, Barack's been president for a whole 3 months. Do you really think he's to blame for the recession?
Who cares who's to blame...now that we find ourselves here who is going to solve the problem?
Seems to me risky mortgage debts packaged on stock markets, sliced diced and priced (since no one knows what they're buying anymore), the slightest natural recession which we were due for, knocked these mortgages over like a stack of bad debt dominoes. What would have been a minor recession and foreclosure crisis became more because of a system that was too easy to get credit that people couldn't really afford. The economy is not the problem, parts within the system are, which affected the economy.
As far as Obama, recommending to spend $3 Trillion after telling everyone he was going to fix the economy, tells me he doesn't know how to balance budgets, or create wealth, only use the system to move money around as he pleases (irresponsible spending). Whose money is it? his or the American people's?
"A government trying to tax and spend its way to prosperity is equivalent to a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." -Winston Churchill
Do you think Obama is going to fix the economy? He's a politician, not a business person or wealth creator.
Rather than blame game (big distraction), I'd like to see some positive action and people taking responsibility to move things in the right direction. This is not an unsolveable problem. But if we all roll over and play dead, it may become that.

Either way I'm tired of people being put to sleep by his words and not listening to what he's saying. Don't just accept what Obama and the media says. If you listen to his words with your brain awake you might be shocked. He works for the people, not the other way around. Remember that. Demand the best for your future and economy with or without his help.
a low point in Canadian history was our last liberal government...for the last year we weren't a democracy. we voted them out and Canada has been improving massively and steadily ever since.
re: Don, I think the lack of confidence is in the market and the economy, not the president.
actually take a look at how much confidence other governments have in Obama's approach to economy. Canada, Europe, China, don't have much confidence in Obama. neither do most USA business people, or military, for that matter. aren't business people the main people to look to for economy, and military for national security? how did that get past the voters? oh yeah, Obama looks good on TV and tells everyone whatever they want to hear at any given moment.
re: I don't listen to him because listening to him is like watching a toilet overflowing so much crap coming out of his mouth it's not even funny.
I have an acquaintance with Obama's exact personality...a career criminal. loads of charisma, everyone loves him, don't believe a word he says. don't let him in your house or anywhere near your money or friends phone numbers. no offense to Obama but he's got a lot to prove before anyone who has any real knowledge of money management will trust him.
but since he's a politician and we're the business people I still maintain it's up to us to improve the economy. Obama who? the puppet in the white house? whether we do it for the entire country or just ourselves and our communities, either way, I'm not going to wait for Obama to grow up and figure out how to lead or manage money before I start taking action. easy for me to say as I live in Canada, okay, but I have done and will continue to do business in the USA.
If USA lost their freedom and independence and financial strength due to one bad government, it would be a crying shame for the entire world.
Yeah it's up to us because the bureaucrats aren't going to fix things.
Obama cant do what we can do. Which is look in the mirror and know that i haven't lied to all of the American people about what I would do for them.
The sad part is that people will let him break all of his campaign promises. He wont have to do that well in order to have a better approval rating higher than GWB had.
He was groomed for this, its not a mistake that he made it this far. So when he makes "Change" it will be accepted.
If we could only control the media long enough to show people he has already lied.
What about the rest of the Government like the House and Senate. Usually your local and state Governments effect you more than the Federal. I write to my State and Federal officials when they start to do something stupid. I even call their offices to express my dissatisfaction with their job performance if needed.
2 years we should have a balance in power as long as Republicans don't do anything stupid. I voted straight Republican this year because of this. I didn't even care if Big Bird was running.

The fed is the real power. If that entity is not restructured then the democrat versus republican discussion in terms of spawning economic change and a true free market is meaningless.
It's like having a blown head gasket in your car's engine, then arguing that fixing the hub caps, and NOT the evil windshield wipers, is the best approach to get the head gasket fixed so the engine runs.
Well said Matty. Do you know any groups people are organizing against the Fed now?
Is there any movement to do this at all? And if there is, can we join without our name on any list? I don't need black heli's over my house, LOL

Not that I know of. Though it feels like more people are becoming aware. That's a start!

Don't be swayed by the name though. They're not just for the south. They have state organizations as far north as NY. They're not a radical, war promoting organization but rather seeking a peaceful separation in order to return states rights.
Matt - I believe you're absolutely right - I think the biggest problem that we have in this country is the rate of inflation is disproportionate to the rate of income for the average american middle class family - you already have middle class families putting groceries on credit cards - check back in 10-15 years on that - Ron Paul was the only candidate who commented on the national debt and he was portrayed as a kook - and to think that the average person probably doesn't even know that the Federal Reserve is a non-government institution and that when the government needs new money we have to pay it back at interest
