If your DASHBOARD says that you have new messages, but when you visit your inbox, you can't find them, the messages are likely in your ARCHIVE.

Please only archive those conversations that are no longer active to prevent this from happening. Responses to archived conversations will appear in your archive, not inbox.

In order to send a private message to someone, they must be your colleague.

That said, our BiggerPockets Pro members can send a private message to any member on the site.
