The link to the forum rules can be found above the left sidebar of the forum in a gray font.

The link is found on all forum pages.

To add an image to your forum post you'll need to use BB Code formatting. Simply place the image location between the IMG tags and you'll be able to see it.

After adding a post to the forums, you'll have 10 minutes to edit your posts. To the left of your post for that 10 minute period, you'll see an EDIT POST link. Clicking that link will let you edit. After the 10 minutes expires, you will not be able to edit your post anymore.

That said, after the 10 minute time period, you will be able to UPDATE your post by clicking the update link (the edit link becomes an update link). Doing this will allow you to post additional information to your posts as addendums or updates.

Members can find their forum posts in several ways:

• Go to the dashboard and hover your mouse over the word FORUM in the grey horizontal toolbar. You'll see a dropdown with a link to My Posts.
• Go to your profile and in the section labeled My Recent Forum Posts, click on the View All link.
• Click on the My Discussions link at the top of the forums.

As you navigate the forums, you'll notice that some people have a fancier signature than others, including a company logo.

All members can create a basic forum signature, but to get the signature with your company's logo, you'll need to upgrade to a BiggerPockets PRO account.

You need to create a forum signature. Here's how:

• Follow the link to your dashboard
• On the left of the page you'll find a link labeled Edit Profile. Click it.
• At the top of the middle section of the page you'll see a set of tabs. One of them will be for the Forum Signature
• Follow that link and click the box that is next to "Use my name and company in my forum signature"
• If you want your contact info included below your posts as well, simply enter it in the signature box.
• Click the Update button on the page and you'll now have a forum signature.

NOTE: For extra PR, upgrade to BiggerPockets PRO and you'll have the ability to add all of your contact info, you'll get a second signature line, and in addition, you can add your company logo (linked back to your company's profile) in your sig.

In order to make a link in your signature a "live" link, that people can click, simply enter the URL with http:// in front of it.

So, www.biggerpockets.com won't be active, but http://www.biggerpockets.com will be.

First, only members can reply to discussions in the forums.

If you're logged in to the site, just go to a forum discussion that you want to reply to and click the Quick Reply or Advanced Reply button, found at the top and bottom of all threads, and you'll be able to post your response.

First, search the forums to make sure your question hasn't been asked before.

Then, go to the main forum page and find a category that matches the topic that you're interested in posting. Once you've selected a category, you'll see a Create a Topic button on the right above all the other threads in that category. Click that button and you'll be taken to the new post form.

Just fill in a subject (please be descriptive) and your message body and you'll then be able to preview or select the Post Topic button to make your post go live.

Subscribing to forum threads is simple and a great way to keep up with those topics of interest to you.

• When creating a new forum topic, you'll see a checkbox on the form saying Notify me when a reply is posted. This box is selected by default. After creating a new topic, if you do not uncheck the box, you'll be notified by email whenever someone replies to your post.
• At any time you can subscribe to any forum threads on the forums that interest you by selecting the checkbox at the top of that thread next to "Monitor Topic".
