Citigroup said at the end of the September it employed 352,000 people, and that its near-term headcount target is about 300,000. Now that's a MAJOR downsize!
wow! thats insane. I have a CD set by Earl Nightingale and i was listening to the one part today. He says that companies during down times are like captains sailing their ships through a major storm. When he has to he unloads all unneeded cargo. Thats how companies are as well. Its for the people who just show up to work to collect a pay check and offer nothing valuable to the company that will be cut from the company. So in a way do we blame the company? Or anyone at all? For if they had created importance to the company they would not be cut. Just my opinion.
