HungryAgents.comRealtors using HungryAgents.com, an online referral service that launched in February, compete for clients based on how much they are willing to reduce their commissions. Realtors pay a $795 fee for each successful sale stemming from the Web site’s referral.

ListFromHome.com, which launched this month, also allows real estate agents to compete for new listings. Agents pay a $10 registration fee and $15 for each qualified lead for each lead received from the site. Competing agents submit an e-mail presentation to prospective clients that lists “a commission rate, advertising commitments, open houses and other customer services.”

There are other examples of similar business models that match consumers with real estate agents who are willing to work for below-average compensation.
