Having your own island would be great. The sun is the best part. Living in St. George Utah is definitely a tourist place to live because of the sun.

Another great resource for private islands is Vladi Private Islands. I believe they are the largest island brokerage house in the world. Only issue I have had with them is since they are located in Germany, they can be difficult corresponding with.

love that website, i read that many islands in French Polynesia (the cheapest ones on there) are inexpensive due to many nuclear tests they have run under sea in the area… so watch out!

I’ve been addicted to the site since finding it. I haven’t really thought about all the costs associated with running an island, but I expect that there are many unforseen expenses.

That said, I wouldn’t mind finding out!

Yeah, that site is great.

Even if you were to buy the island and build a house on it, upkeep and travel expenses would be insane. What do you think the expected yearly costs would be for running one?
