Automate Your Colorado Home Search

I reject more sponsored reviews then I accept, but thought that I’d give it a whirl today in reviewing Automated Homefinder. Many of the companies that contact us through ReviewMe are just not up to par, and it seems like these guys might just be worth exploring.
Focused on Colorado real estate, Automated Homefinder does just what its name says; they provide a free service to help buyers locate homes. In addition to standard MLS listings, the site claims to offer properties from various other sources, including: For Sale By Owner (FSBOs), Foreclosures,
Real Estate Owned (REOs), New Construction, and Horse Property.
I like the concept of a service that helps buyers with a low-pressure sales model, and you can’t get much lower in pressure then online searching. Seemingly focused on people relocating from out of state, the site has quite a few good functions that are quite useful, including statistical reports on various areas of the state (e.g. South Denver Metro), the number of listings broken down by price and area, an automated home appraiser service, and more.
Apparently, the company was conducting weekly teleconferences to educate buyers on different areas of the state and on topics that are worth exploring in the real estate arena, but it seems like they no longer have any planned. I searched for future teleconferences, but was not able to find any. On the other hand, they do maintain an archive of past ones formatted as .mp3.
Every website these days has a testimonials page (we don’t – I think it is a lot of ego-boosting), but these guys took it to the next level. They created audio testimonials, which are pretty convincing. Anyone can just make up some BS and post it as a testimonial. It is certainly more difficult faking an audio entry.
Overall, it seems like this company has their act together. If you’re considering relocating to Colorado or just want to look for a new home, Automated Homefinder is a resource you should consider.
If anyone has any experiences with the company – good or bad – please let us know

Try out recolorado.com, they are owned by the Mls company Metro List and are up to date. Since I have been out here in CO it was tough at first to find a good web site which did not have outdated information. It seems realtor.com is about 2-4 weeks out dated from metro list since they are not affiliated. Automated Homefinder may be great I have not heard about it prior to this posting. I even find tthat metro list has dated information, seems some agents out here are a little slow sometimes.
Recolorado is a great site! I haven’t seen too many other local MLS companies who are putting this much info out there for the consumer.
I’ve been planning a move to Colorado for some time and spent a bunch of time looking at all the different Colorado real estate websites including the two mentioned above. The best I’ve found by far is http://www.cohomefinder.com. They have a lot more intuitive search options than the others. I really like the google like search box on where you can search on any phrase in the listing, something I’ve never seen on a real estate site that just makes sense!
