ReviewMe: Dubai Property from LatticeWerks

Note: This is a paid review. We get several requests per week and are quite selective in our reviews. These reviews will be blunt, but fair. If you’re interested in a review from this PR5 blog, purchase a review from ReviewMe.

LatticeWerks has requested that we review Dubai Property, which appears to be about promoting property investment and construction in Dubai. The company has built a website with a load of helpful information, but in general is difficult to read and navigate. While the site primarily focuses on investing in Dubai, I found information regarding investments in Italy, India, Slovakia, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. It appears the content of this site is directed at getting people to invest in LatticeWerks various development opportunities around the globe.

A few notes . . . Upon first glance, I had no idea what the site was about and what exactly I was looking at. The home page should contain a mission and philosophy statement to draw the reader into the site. If the site’s substance were more direct about what the company does, then the reader would have an easier time navigating and valuing the information. While there appears to be a lot of information, the size of the font on the headlines and content is too small to read.

The company seems to have on their Portfolio page four different projects:

  1. International City Dubai
    • Status: Sold out in 3 months
    • Approx value of development: £1.6 million
  2. Newcastle Water front
    • Status: 100% sold
    • Approx value of devlopment: £2 million
  3. Borgo Cartiera Italy
    • Date: Launched Jan 2006
    • Location: Jesi, Italy
    • Detail: Situated in the historical town of Jesi, Borgo Cartiera is ideally located with regard to its proximity to the centre and the surrounding green areas. • Jesi, a thriving and elegant town, is one of the most beguiling Marche towns. It boasts a sophisticated old centre and lively cultural life. The town is built on the left bank of the Esino River and is surrounded by hills dotted with vineyards and olive trees. The Adriatic coast is 18 kms away. Jesi is 30 mins from Ancona airport.
    • Number of units: 100 apartments of a listed converted Mill
    • Prices: from Euro 80
    • Status: 75% sold
    • Approx value of development: 10M Euro’s
  4. Dubai Sports City
    • Date: Dec 06
    • Location: Dubai
    • Detail: Five developments in DCS.
    • Dubai Sports City Complex, Bermuda Views, Stadium Point, The Elevation, Thai Island (Jasmine Gardens), Profile Residence
    • Prices: From GBP 95K
    • Status: Still available

I think the company would benefit from separating the developments that are complete with the ones that they are actively seeking investors for. In addition, I was disappointed that I was unable to access more information about the properties. The info that was available was very brief; there should be much more detail! There was a beautiful area for exploring their Italian project, but nothing similar (that I could find) on the Dubai one.

On other areas, the site is also lacking. Unfortunately, the Resources page does not have any links listed. It would be better to not have that page at all if there are none to include. I think a complete re-design is in order here; users need to be greeted with something enticing and “sexy” to get them interested. Info on the projects they are marketing must be more clear and detailed as well.

On a positive note, if you are interested in learning more about Dubai or the Dubai real estate market, this site has plenty of information regarding history, information on trends, and other useful facts on the Dubai market.

Wow that’s a very thorough ReviewMe review! If I had a real estate site I would probably buy one up!

Excellent review. I’m wondering do you have any thoughts/comments on the prospects of real estate investing in Dubai? I have some friends who’ve been approached about opportunities over there, especially as the market here has slowed. Maybe it would be an interesting post?

A good review. You’re right about making blunt points, but in this case I can totally understand where you’re coming from. Cheers!

I’ve noticed a lot of my clients rushing to invest in property over there. Whenever they book I usually talk to them for a bit and it seems a lot of them are sick of the US real estate markets and everyone with a lot of money seems to have caught wind on Dubai. I wonder how long before the market is out of control like in western Canada.
