Re-Evaluate Your 2007 Real Estate Goals

Hey everyone! We’re fast approaching the end of June and the mid-point of 2007. Back in December, many of you participated in our 2007 Real Estate Goals Group Writing Project and others joined our forum discussion, sharing their goals.

As we get closer to July, I wanted to remind all of you to break out those goals and take a look. Have you taken steps to achieve them? Have you fallen behind? For many of you, the goals consisted doing a set number of deals. You established a quantifiable number for yourself which you can compare with the number of real estate deals you’ve actually accomplished.

How are things going?

Often times, when you re-evaluate your goals, you’ll see that you need to re-set these goals. If that’s the case, don’t fret. As people are dynamic beings, their goals will be as well. Take a look at yourself and see what is realistic, then clean up those goals so they make sense for you and your situation for the next 6 months.

If anyone is interested in sharing, we’d love to see if our goal setting session has been helpful so far for anyone! Please share your thoughts with us here!

Aw, nuts, is it that late in the year already? I’m WAY BEHIND! Argh!

I have a goal of purchasing 6 houses to fix-n-flip as rentals or as owner-occupied houses. I’ve done zero so far this year. However, I do have one in the pipeline, so at least I’ve gotten started.

I also have a goal of selling 10 of our houses (which can include some of the above 6 I want to buy) this year. So far, I’ve sold 5. Ok, so, I’m where I should be on that one.

I almost purchased a multi-function retail/office building yesterday. I’m getting geared up to purchase something commercial SOON. I’ve found a good commercial mortgage broker.

Then, lastly, I had a goal for my real estate sales career. I want to sell $5 million in property this year. Yeah, realistically, I don’t see this happening. But, I’m gunning for it on a daily basis.

Thanks for the kick in the pants! LOL!

My real estate goal is to break into the real estate market in the first place!

My goal is to unload my darn house! The market where I live is so soft right now that I’ve lowered the price twice and I’m still not getting offers. I’ve already moved and I’m going to end up paying two mortgages. Any sage advice for me?

I just started a residential rental business in Washington DC, Nomadic Real Estate, and I’ve been reevaluating my goals all through the process. I’ve noticed as every task takes longer than I’d like them to, I have to change the time frame of a lot of my goals. Either way, it is always helpful to get some motivation and read other posts about people doing the same things.
