I can understand your problem very well, even I have had such problems recently. But you fixed it in 14 hours that's commendable. I remember once my server's crashed It took us almost 36 hours to get back. How much of our work had suffered because of such problems.

Josh,

You have my empathy. I have gone through the server crash situation a couple of times with sites and it is exhausting. One was a hard drive that went bad for a forum site I ran. Of course the backups were bad so I ended up flying to the city the host was, entered the super secret hosting facility, and got the hard drive to try to recover the data.

One thing to others reading this I recommend. Get a secondary cheap hosting site and test your backups there. It does no good to do backups regularly if there is a problem with them and they end up not working.

For 50-60 bucks a year of hosting costs to have a backup and testing site it is well worth the money.

Hope all is now well,
