CBS News Interviews BiggerPockets Founder Joshua Dorkin About Ongoing Housing Crisis
by Joshua Dorkin on September 2, 2007
Today, CBS Network Radio News out of New York and KNX News Radio 1070 in Los Angeles, the premiere radio news station in Southern California, aired an interview with me, Joshua Dorkin, as founder of BiggerPockets.com, about the ongoing Housing Crisis.
I was contacted because of a new report that shows that the mortgage crisis is having a real impact on housing related jobs in the State of California, and I talked about how homeowners facing foreclosure and the ruination of their credit rating might be able to take advantage of real estate investors to help bail them out. The report aired throughout the afternoon on KNX in the Southwest, and Nationally on all CBS stations carrying the network news.

BiggerPockets.com was founded by Joshua Reed Dorkin in August 2004. An entrepreneur, web designer, real estate investor, and one-time realtor, Joshua was not satisfied by the online offerings of other real estate sites out there, and decided to build one himself.
Mr. Dorkin's vision for BiggerPockets has helped to propel it into becoming one of the top real estate destinations online. His vision for the site and its future has brought national press attention to both Mr. Dorkin and to BiggerPockets.

Congratulations Joshua! I wish you many more media spots. -Jason
Talk about incredible free press!! Congratulations on notching up that one.
Congratulations on the interview! Wish it was on a better topic. There are areas in Kansas City that are down over 50% in sales volume.
Way to go Josh!
Do you actively pursue media spots? I have heard this is a good way to get free advertising.
