UFO’s And The Great American Mortgage Disaster

by Charles Feldman on November 14, 2007

Marvin Martian Copyright Warner BrothersSightings of UFOs, as in Unidentified Flying Objects, are on the rise…so much so that an international panel got together this week in Washington to urge that the U.S. government reopen Project Blue Book which was an Air Force project to investigate UFOs from 1947 to 1969. The panel included some two dozen former pilots and governments types.

Skeptics always ask : “But why would an alien race travel so far, across light years (if even possible) to visit of all places, the Earth?”

The answer is obvious.

They are looking to take advantage of the housing crisis in the U.S. and must be telepathically aware that foreclosures are doing more damage to the world economy than any invasion from another planet ever could.

I mean, why do you think UFO sightings tend to be in the Southwest more often than not?
Well, the housing market in that part of the country is taking a blood bath. Lots of sightings around Florida. There, too, the housing market is drying up faster than an Everglades gator hanging out in the sun.

Now, I know what you are thinking. You’re thinking, okay, let’s say one of these aliens decides to snatch up a foreclosed property, who’s gonna give him (it???) a mortgage? The credit markets are taking a beating along with the housing market. Hey, they’re not from outer space for nothing. Think they came all this way without so much as a charge card on them? I mean, would YOU leave home without it? Of course not. So, I don’t think the credit crunch is going to stop them.

Of course, if they are buying a property for its investment value, they may need to think twice about it. How much is that house going to really be worth when they return to the Earth on their next trip in a trillion years from now? In the current market, can you imagine how much money they’d lose in a trillion years on the property? You gotta think it will be more than 15 percent, right?

Funny how all those old sci-fi novels got it all wrong: They predicted that someday the Earth would be invaded by Martians who’ll destroy us and take over. Gee, why would they need to do that when its a buyer’s market for housing here?

No, they won’t invade; they’ll simply relocate…and no doubt with zero down.

I’m glad to see an international panel has got together to go over this! Your jokes are funny though.

Charles:

With this market being what it is today my guess is sellers would happily sell to aliens, dinosaurs, cavemen or whoever else shows up with cash in hand or a preapproved loan lol! Fun post thanks…Hopefully things will turn around soon.
