BiggerPockets Highlighted in Los Angeles Times Article About Real Estate Blogs
Author: Joshua Dorkin • URL: http://www.biggerpockets.com/February 10th, 2008 •
Several weeks back I was contacted by Ann Brenoff, a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times, who was going to be writing an article about real estate bloggers. Ann interviewed me and I did what I could to help her find out more about the real estate blogging world. We discussed the scene in general, this blog, and I told her about many of the other blogs that I tend to follow and respect.
I was pleased to find out that the article would be coming out on February 10, 2008 (my birthday - today!), and that I made the final cut. Additionally, I found out that my photo had been included in the print edition of the article.
With that in mind, I thought it would be appropriate to share with you both the article (online version) and the image and caption that was included on Page 11 of Section K of the paper.
Realtor blogs help reel in clients, boost sales

I wanted to thank Ann for the wonderful opportunity and great article!
What do you all think?

Hi Joshua!
Happy Birthday and congrats on the article. It’s always nice to see my fellow real estate bloggers get some main stream love.

I’m glad you made the cut! Very well deserved.
And a big thanks for having passed on my name to Ann as well.
I hope you remember that I knew you before you were a big star! lol
Congrats.
Good job!
What do I think? I think you need to get rid of the Apple computer… LOL
Awesome… A little free press never hurts!
King of the World.
Thanks, Gang! I appreciate all of your thoughts.
Good job! Congratulations.
Hi again,
I was just popping in to see how the various bloggers handled my story and Jim Watkins’ comment made me LOL (sorry Jim, I couldn’t get to everybody). But I did go to Jim’s website just now — and this must be divine providence — and tucked away in the corner, almost off my screen, was a little link to “Adopt a Golden.” JIM! I’ve been actively looking for a Golden to adopt!! We have always had two (always rescue dogs) and had to put one down in July, so we have an opening and Wynona is speaking to me!!
OK, North Texas is a little far. But it would make a great story about how we got her, wouldn’t it?
Again, sorry to all who I couldn’t include. Unlike the cyberworld, space in print is finite.
Keep up the good work!
Ann
