I also am happy to read that the woman was prosecuted. This kind of thing has gotten out of hand. Here in AZ where foreclosures are very high, we've even got a new animal rescue group started recently by RE professionals because of the overwhelming amounts of animals that are being left behind. It is both outragious and pitiful. And yes, "crazy cat lady" is an actual mental disorder. Only it's called "Animal Hoarder." These people got serious problems for sure, but the ones who are really suffering are the animals involved. Yes, please assist in prosecuting this disgraceful practice whenever possible.
