If you don’t have the time to join a club offline, think about creating an account on Twitter, ActiveRain, LinkedIn or Facebook; all these sites have a large real estate community and are an excellent way to network.

Richard, great job! This is exactly what investors need to know about attending real estate investment club meetings. Beware of the snake oil peddlers, seek to build relationships, and get educated. This is not a get rich quick business; however, it can be a get rich for life business. Education and developing relationships allows for sustainable wealth. Thank you for saying exactly what I had been thinking.

It is sad to see that most clubs are only about networking or selling. Very little focus on education of the real estate investor.

I have noticed that the education part unfortunately has not been promoted enough. Maybe because that will bring far more knowledge about investing in real estate and then the clubs can’t sell the real estate they wish to sell.

Education can bring wealth but for real estate agents it is perceived as dangerous, because then they really have to provide investment deals, not just sell hype. I believe this is the reason most clubs are hyped and are all about selling a piece of real estate.

Unless the club is MLM I don’t see a club based on selling and hype having long term sustainability.

I most definitely agree here; networking is key to building relationships with both potential clients and other real estate professionals. The best thing about joining a real estate club is the networking that happens. Real estate is not a loner sport. By far some of the most effective investors and agents as well are those that are out networking with others face to face.

This helps with possibly getting more referrals.

I think it is better idea for real esteate and we can get more than more experience to such type clubs.
