The place may seem like a good deal, but you definitely need to assess how it will look over time if you hold the property and/or the present conditions. I love seeing the before and afters and have written several articles. Of course, the market has changed alot and we're not seeing so many flips these days. The company I work for specializes in finding REO's in bulk for investors at wholesale prices. Smart investors look for the discounts as Kathleen suggested. Buying in bulk gets you that discount. We have forged relationships with some of the largest lending institutions in the country who hold the majority of foreclosed on properties. If you are an interested investor we should talk.
