You need to be in it for the long haul though. If you are patient, you will make money in the end because values will always return and increase. I don't think now is the best time to buy because of the crisis of the economy. The banks are close to collasping and so is the auto-industry. I don't think that buying a house is a very good idea unless you are paying cold hard cash...but if you are talking about getting a loan.........forget about it.
