Hey Peter,

I must agree with you on lack of direction. Sometimes I think it has to do with disorganization than it does content. Take for instance a persons wardrobe. You can have a specific style and taste of clothing, but piled up on the floor, you can't make much sense of it, let alone figure out an outfit.

Rewind that same scenario but this time adding a dresser with specific drawers and a closet of hangers to hang your articles of clothing.

You have the same exact content (wardrobe), but in a much more organized fashion.

*I'll take a look at part 2 for more info. Thank you for the input. Much appreciated.

Good for you Monique. Give it some time, depending on your traffic, maybe a week or so and you'll see some amazing data.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your comment. However, I believe that a bounce rate is pretty important to your success on the internet for your visitors and SEO.

If you look at my article, I discuss making the landing page visitor friendly, relevant to what the visitor is looking for.

The bounce rate goes way deeper that just the percentage factor. if you really think about it, the bounce rate will tell you a lot of different criteria about your website and your web page.

Try this for a while and see what happens: Without changing anything else on your site, go back into your analytics software and see which pages have the highest bounce rate. Improve those pages to have better bounce rate (lower percentage) and then track your search engine rankings for those pages. You should see the difference.

Also, if you are running Google Adwords, try getting high ad positions with local PPC costs without optimizing the bounce rate, your landing page relevancy.

I hope this helps. Obviously, there are several factors that will affect SEO and that are more important than the bounce rate. The reason why I mentioned it here is because it relates to the article. If you notice, I'm more worried about the visitor than the spider.

I honestly don't think bounce rate is a high ranking factor in SEO for Google as it is a highly variable stat. Reducing bounce rate should be 100% a matter of making your site more attractive to visitors, not impressing the search engine.

Thanks usmc. You wouldn't believe how sometimes a small tweak can make a HUGE difference in conversions of a website.

I see many real estate websites make and believe me, that problem is costing those sites a LOT of money. Those websites are leaving a lot of money on the table.
