i am having my website currently built on pg real estate solution though wordpress and joomla were possible solutions for me too, why i chose them – it just includes almost everything i need so i decided to try and go with them

Joomla totally rocks, especially when used to create dynamic websites such as real estate sites. It certainly simplifies the process and saves valuable time.

Nice tips. I’d also like to add that if at all possible you should keep it local. Yeah, I understand that there are folks who invest nationwide (I used to be one of them) but throwing out a squeeze page for the world to see will only bring in disgruntled sellers who you cannot help as an investor.

Thanks for sharing such information here, I will also agree with Mr, Dorkan and I would prefer wordpress on joomla. I think wordpress is giving you more options and its also more easy to work and manage.

Thanks BB, I have never used Open-Realty but it looks very cool. I checked and like WordPress, you can use Open-Realty as a plug-in to a Joomla site. I am a big fan of PHP and OpenSource. A lot of the applications you can use together these days.

One thing you and Josh mentioned that is very important is that WordPress is simple. That is crucial when selecting a solution to go with. Thanks again for the comment, I would love to check out your Open-Realty site when you go live.

Ryan, have you ever used Open-Realty? I am setting up a site in it and it seems pretty slick.

I have a technical background as well, but I am definitely with Josh I prefer WordPress (even if just used as a CMS) over Joomla. Joomla is probably more robust, but not quite as simple in my opinion.

Thanks for the comment Josh. Wordpress is a simple plug-in available in Joomla. I use wordpress actually for my blog on my Joomla site. Nice summary, Ryan. I’m not personally a fan of Joomla and would instead recommend WordPress as a CMS, but that’s just me!
