Very few property owners (and even fewer home owners) know their properties, the nuances, and the pitfalls. I would love it if people we're more in tune with their property before they need any work done, but I guess people don't react unless their is a problem.Glad it all worked out for you. There was nothing structural under the hatch, just the simple metal framing for the suspended ceiling.If I had installed the whole ceiling fan and it hadn't worked, I would have been so frustrated that I would have jumped to my doom.
