The bet way to build your online presence, Copeland, is to get active in communities like BiggerPockets. The hard sell is not an effective technique, typically. By participating and providing quality content to others, you’ll see that people start to take interest in you and what you’re doing – in this case, the showcase website. Those members on our site who are visible and part of the “ether” are typically those who benefit most from it. Those who come, post some kind of solicitation, or relatively useless drivel see little to no benefit from being here.

I have enjoyed coming to the BP blog from time to time over the past few months. This a great case study, and really has me interested with some questions about how to best go about contributing content while improving my SEO.

I am currently a cog in a company that is trying to improve its SEO and want to be sure that this is done properly if this is an avenue I should pursue.

To do so with a BP blog, I guess first I would I sign up for a blog, research, and post relevant information, right? Should I then include links in the blog to my company? If I do not update content often will all previous efforts be lost? Any other tips or suggestions?
