Great article Christina. I am working with a client right now that has had to pre-qualify with a number of banks and mortgage brokers. My client is the most approved client I have ever had in my life. I have enough approval letters for her to start a forest fire, lol. The unfortunate thing is that we are in a market where you are going to make a number of offers on multiple properties before one even gets accepted. In the meantime one is going to collect approval letters. I wouldn’t mind a little legislation on this issue. The banks are all over the board on this.

The banks seem to be working overtime to make anything and everything more difficult for borrowers, no matter their creditworthiness. All the bailouts and government clampdowns are doing is making it even more of a challenge for buyers of homes to find the money to do so.
