Every real estate investor learns very quickly that it is lonely out there. Without someone with whom you can share your trials and tribulations and to hold you accountable this business can beat you up pretty quickly.

When you’re working on your own, as most people in real estate are, there is nothing more important than holding yourself accountable to your goals. Since most of us are just incapable of doing it ourselves, there is nothing better than having someone who can hold you accountable to yourself.

I can personally attest to the power of having someone holding you accountable on a daily basis.

I started doing this earlier in the year (it’s been almost 8 months now), and can say without a doubt that I would never have achieved some of the goals I set for myself in 2009 if it weren’t for my accountability partner.

It’s all too easy to let yourself slack off when no one else is watching, and makes all the difference in the world to have someone looking over your shoulder holding you accountable for your actions on a daily basis.
