Good article, Shae.

It’s hard for the lone rangers to do the business strategy sessions on their own, keep themselves moving in the right direction and keep themselves motivated because they’re only hearing their own voice.
I strongly recommend becoming part of a like-minded group who can help you mastermind your business. We lead this type of group in our local area and see tremendous growth in very short times because of the synergy of the combined input.
My husband and I do the same thing you describe, weekly meetings with our partner. Made a huge difference in our business when we implemented them.

Hi Shae,

I liked your point on reviewing ‘overall goals’.

I have learned over time that if I do not personally do this, I tend to forget what my overall goals are. (This may sound ridiculous, but it is the truth)

To combat this, I have drawn out my Overall goals (in picture form) for the month and for the year. They are placed in a spot in my house, where I see them each and ever day.

This way, I never forget what my overall goals are, and these ‘pictures’ that I have created help me to stay focused on achieving these overall goals.

Great article, Shae! I’ve read E-Myth too, excellent book. I think it’s great that you have strategy sessions – it really helps to track progress. I do them myself as well.

I like how you have an outline and group the review session into categories, great suggestion. You’re right, it is really easy to get “stuck” in the day to day operation of things. I’ve had my share of struggles and what has helped me get over the hurdles has been the time I took to reflect on what was working/not working and what I could do to make things better.

By having these strategy sessions, it definitely helps to work on the business. This article is a great reminder of that, thanks for sharing!
