As any experienced real estate professional can tell you, if you do enough property inspections on a regular basis – it’s only a matter of time until you stumble across some exceptionally weird things out in the trade.

These encounters can be shocking, disgusting, confusing, or even hilarious…   but all of them are likely to leave you shaking your head in amazement at what human beings are capable (or incapable) of doing. At the very least, they’re sure to provide you with a bit of entertainment for your day…

You’d think the shape of that fence would kind of speak for itself, but then again, you should never underestimate the extent of human stupidity.

Property protected by pitbull with aids. I just about lost my cookies when I read that. Our pit bull is docile and is only threatening to cat and squirrels.

Every pit bull I’ve ever met has be very nice – but I’m still glad you found it funny. :) Thanks Toby!

Dogs definitely reflect their owner’s personalities I’ve found and just so happens that Pits catch a bad rap.

The house with all the money was a drug/stash house in Mexico. This picture has been around for quite some time. It is approximately $206 million in cash……

That is one weird thing that I definitely wouldn’t mind finding in my house. :)

That 2nd picture reminds me of my neighbors when I 1st got in the air force. Their front closet was the can closet. When it was full, we’d fill up a pick up truck, head to the recycling place, then the liquor store and start over. Glad I didn’t have to turn over that apartment ;)

OMG! I’ve been in house number 2. I was just wondering: Who cleaned out the dirty diapers before this picture was taken. Oh, and BTW, I bought a house that had the gate in front of the walk, but no fence. Thanks for the laughs.

As an appraiser, I see an equally large number of weird, strange & disgusting things. My experience with a hoarder house is one that I will never forget. Small woman had “stuff” piled up beyond my hips – I’m 6’2″ so that’s about 3.5 to 4 feet high.

There were narrow, I mean narrow paths, wound throughout the house. I am not narrow, so as I walked thru I was knocking over the piles along the path, This caused her a great deal of consternation as the “stuff” was in neat piles. When I entered into the kitchen & my shoes stuck to the floor because of some unknown “yuck” on the floor, I called a halt to my inspection.

Lender declined the loan because of fire hazard.
