Help Rehab the Mississippi Gulf Coast this Holiday Season
December 10th, 2007 by Joshua Dorkin | 2 Comments | Filed in CommentaryThe following is a plea from someone in my family and I thought I’d share it with everyone. Many people have asked what can they do to help others during the holidays. . . here is a great idea:
Katrina’s is NOT over. There is still a need for volunteers on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Many people are still living in FEMA trailers or homes in great need of repair post Katrina. We need volunteers who are comfortable working on a jobsite helping to rebuild or rehab homes. Trained construction crew leaders patiently teach basic skills and supervise volunteers.
Now through December 20 and throughout January, we have lots of room for volunteers.

Thanks for considering this plea and many, many thanks for all that you have already done to help the recovery and rebuilding on the Gulf Coast.
