A former professional musician from out west for most all of my adult life, I owned a few single family rentals until coming back east just before my father died in NY, sold the family home [FSBO] and helped my mother move down to central FL. Then I started looking for multi-family properties within a 3 hour drive since she wanted me to stay close now that she was alone..

I finally succeeded in a cash purchase of a Gainesville FL 4plex 2 hours away from my elderly mother. Here in Gainesville, I will be the owner-occupant in hopefully satisfying my initial investment goals..
