Hey, My name is Brandon, and the lovely lady in the photo is my beautiful bride Heather. I started flipping a house (fix & flip) to make some extra money to go backpack Europe for a summer - but ended up spending all the money on my wedding. So rather than Europe, I found a career and so much more. I fell in love with every aspect of real estate, read every book my library had on it, and then just jumped in. I started flipping some properties and now I'm also landlord of several properties, fixing up two in my spare time to sell, and trying to learn everything I can.

Experience

I started out flipping houses, but started this process at the beginning of the housing crash. So, I've now sold two and I have 3 properties I am renting (all cashflow), one I am living in, and about to close on my first apartment complex.

Real Estate Goals

I want what every real estate investor wants - freedom. Once my passive income surpasses my expenses, I hope to continue on to bigger and better projects- like apartments.

Currently Seeking

Low priced fixers, or multi-family units (4-50 units). I am very interested in buying a small multi-unit complex of small houses/apartments (the kind where they cram like 8 units on one small lot) and doing some renovations to pick up the cashflow. But I'm open to anything!

Not yet!! my mortgage broker didn't do his job very well, now I need to restructure my loan from FHA to conventional with 10% down instead of 3.5%. Now I am supposed to close on the 28th of this month. My original closing date was 7-31. I am learning stuff from this website, I just learned about the 50% rule for landlords, I had no idea they lost so much to operating expenses!
