Initially a landlord by default in Riverside, CA, I have a handful of SFRs in Fort Worth as well. Professionally, I am an elementary school principal, and personally the father of a handful of children.
In college I worked for a commercial wholesaler making cold calls and researching property. My wife and I started as unintentional landlords after moving up to our current family home. In the boom, we took out a big second to buy rentals in Texas. I'm more of a landlord than an investor, but look to switch that around.
I aspire to maintain a portfolio of rental properties for both income and wealth that will allow our family both the time and finances to travel together for education, for leisure, and on mission service projects.
I am currently seeking to expand my knowledge of REI while preparing to acquire additional rental properties at wholesale prices.
