I quit my job in 2007 to focus on building a real estate investing business. I chose to get real estate investing education and get to work. I have had successes and failures investing in Indianapolis, IN and Westchester, IL. My biggest lessons are that it takes money to make money, always have reserve money, and never do a deal that doesn't feel right. I follow my gut and my heart and I let my mind do the executing.
An interesting tidbit about me is that I met my wife on Match.com. So I guess I understand what it's like to build a relationship from online to in-person. I want the best for everyone I connect with!
I started out investing in Indianapolis, IN because there was a low cost of entry. I bought there at auction, sold some, and still own properties as rentals. I live in Westchester, IL so I've done a couple successful rehabs here as well. I have my Broker license in IL as well.
I want to network with successful real estate investors who are trustworthy and honest and aren't always out just for the quick buck. When you're passionate about this business, the money will come as a by-product of that passion. I plan to buy and rehab as many properties as I can, but won't take on risk that isn't mitigated and has large profit potential. I prefer deals with as few people involved as possible (like 2, a finance guy and me). I plan to be able to finance my own deals as soon as possible so I have the freedom to choose who to work with.
Investors with cash who see opportunity in working with someone who has a team, system, and experience rehabbing. I am staying specific to my area, because when you find and area that works and has plenty of opportunity, you should stick to what you know.
