I am currently a Senior at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. I am double majoring in Accounting and Finance with an emphasis on Financial Planning (Planning on taking the CFP Exam). I also have my real estate license (currently inactive). When I was a Freshman in High School I became very interested in the potential of investing in real estate. Ever since then it has been my passion and my dream to start my own investing company. I am constantly applying the skills and knowledge I gain through school towards the overall goal of becoming an investing entrepreneur. Currently I am planning on entering either the financial planning industry or working for a Real Estate Investing company after I graduate college in December 2010. Hopefully "BiggerPockets" will help facilitate my overall goal of becoming a successful investor/business owner.

Experience

In 2002 I began researching the foreclosure market and attending foreclosure auctions at the county courthouse in Victoria, Texas to learn more about the entire process. I am a liscensed real estate salesperson in the state of Texas (Inactive). In addition to being licensed, I have taken several real estate courses at Texas State University. I'm an avid reader of Real Estate "How To" books and I have been working at Lowe's part-time for over a year which has offered valuable insight into the Rehab/Construction side of Real Estate investing.

Real Estate Goals

Included in the overall goal of running my own successful real estate investment company are several smaller but equally important goals that I am constantly working towards. My first real estate goal was to earn my real estate salesperson license. I completed that goal in May of 2010 by completing the required courses and acing both the state and national exam. My next goal is to team up with a successful real estate investing firm or financial planning firm after graduation (December 2010) that will further prepare me for my ultimate goal. I am also currently in the middle of creating a business plan, business documents, and excel programs that will facilitate the process of starting a successful business.
