Rob K. Blake, a 15 year veteran of the mortgage industry, is a renowned public speaker, author, and former radio talk show host. His blog, TheMortgageInsider.net, is dedicated to educating mortgage consumers, mortgage providers, and investors about both mortgage and housing markets...and how to take advantage of both!
His blog has been featured in The Washington Post and the Atlanta Journal Constitution and is widely quoted by other industry websites.
Mr. Blake holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Wyoming and attended the Masters in Finance Program at the University of Wyoming under the mentorship of Mark Sunderman, PhD. in Finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Mr. Blake bought his first foreclosure property in 1987 after just been discharged from the Army. Mr. Blake at the time of property acquisition, had no job (student), no credit, and no cash. In light of all those supposed "handicaps", the deal was closed and after rehab the home was worth twice what was paid.
In addition to real estate investing, Mr. Blake is an active private options trader and is also a precious metals broker.
