With Cardio Trainer I can track how many miles I walk or run, calories burned, miles per hour and distance.
ColorNote is a digital Post-It app I use to keep track of my things to do.
doubleTwist converts my iTunes library to my Android phone and its sister app, AirSync, allows me to transfer the music wirelessly.
However, these applications are worthless if unapplied.
In other words, if I fail lace up my sneakers and get my heart rate up with a 5-mile run once in a while then Cardio Trainer is just taking up space on my phone’s internal hard drive. Likewise, if I never complete my list of things to do what good is the ColorNote app? And if I forget to import my REO Speedwagon Greatest Hits CD collection to iTunes I’ll have cheesy 80’s music to play with that nifty doubleTwist application.
I don’t need to tell you what an incredible resource BiggerPockets is for the novice to expert real estate investor. There’s an abundance of information here, from fixing and flipping to buying and holding to deal analysis to property management to note buying.
But as my pastor likes to say, “Knowing the right things will not change your life. Doing the right things does.”
Is your head full of unapplied real estate investment applications? Maybe you have the cash and resources needed to do fix and flip but you haven’t done a deal yet. Perhaps you’re ready to buy that first rental property but haven’t pulled the trigger.
What are you waiting for?
If you’re still not sure about flipping a house, or renting it out, then find someone that does in your market and ask for help. Call a homeowner in foreclosure and offer to buy their house. Better yet, knock on their door. Find a Realtor that works with real estate investors and ask them to help you find a deal on the multiple listing service. Take action. Get moving. Do something.
The world is full of informed fools. Application makes all the difference.
