Despite how awesome the BiggerPockets Forums can be, I know from both personal experience and the feedback I’ve received from others that because of how much information there is- it can sometimes it can be EXTREMELY overwhelming!
I wanted to ease some of that pain and the “paralysis from analysis” that a lot of new users experience so I highlighted the top 5 forum discussions to follow so you can have easy access and also to provide an overview of the key players on the forums. With that let’s jump into it!

This is an awesome forum thread by Wendell De Guzman, where he posts weekly updates tracking the typical life of a real estate investor. He gives business updates, deal updates and more- all in the context of wanting to answer questions and being extremely open and helpful. Feel free to click above to follow along and get involved!
This is a post from our friend Brian Burke, with pictures showcasing, possibly, the nastiest house around! This is both entertaining and disgusting as Brian shows you clearly what can happen when you buy a house at the courthouse steps. This one is a must read!

This is probably one of the most beneficial threads in the entire forum community! J Scott goes into great detail on what it takes to build a house from the ground up. You really can’t be on BiggerPockets and not know about this one!
This is a very inspiration thread! On June 6th, Brie Schmidt quit her day job and officially became a full time landlord. Here she goes into detail on how she did it, how many properties she has and more. Feel free to reach out to her and ask her how she did it, what she struggled through, whatever you’d like. This is a FANTASTIC resource!
This thread is still active, and was started back in 2010…. I think that’s pretty much all I have to say lol.
It has some incredible insights on the truth behind wholesaling and separates the fallacy of the guru empire with what really happens. If you are thinking about wholesaling, you really want to dive deep into this thread!
