How to Write SEO-Friendly Content for Your Real Estate Website

Last week I talked about correctly formatting content on your website to gain thousands of online leads. The process of writing content for your website to getting it onto the page needs to done in the correct manner. Just posting content in any fashion will not work; it must be formatted so that people can digest it better.

Moving on to this week’s blog post, I wanted to touch on making each and every page SEO-friendly. For those of you who may not understand what I’m talking about, then let me explain it in simple terms.

SEO-Friendly Explained

Imagine every piece of content on your website is an employed salesman for your real estate company. This salesman goes out and tries to sell your product or services to those who are interested. What makes your salesman perform their job at the highest level is the training and procedures that they have to follow.

Meaning, if the salesman just implemented all of the things that you’ve taught them, then they will have a better chance of being successful. Your SEO-friendly content is somewhat like that in that the way you set it up is similar to training someone to take action.

When you start to produce content for your real estate website, you must think about the procedure and training process. What you’re looking to do is put things in place so that they can bring you success in the form of getting lots of leads.

The magic question is how do we do this?

Lucky Charm Keywords

Now, I know that most of you are reading this asking yourself, what is this guy talking about? When you see the words “lucky charm,” your first reaction is the famous cereal.

Well you’re right — I came up with this little system when I was eating Lucky Charms some years ago. You see, being an SEO guy, I’m always thinking of creative ways to optimize pages and content and to create more valuable back links. But the idea that I got that day was how to create an unstoppable SEO friendly page/post on the fly.

No matter what you’re writing, this method of creating SEO-friendly content will be extremely easy to do. What you need to do is think about all of the elements that make up a page or post.

Here is what I’m talking about:

  • Title
  • Body
  • Tags
  • Category
  • Description

Let’s take the main keyword that I use in almost every example when talking about real estate here on BP.

That keyword that I will be using will be “Shreveport Real Estate.” Here below, I will cover how all of this works and why I call these Lucky Charm Keywords.

SEO-Friendly Titles

First and foremost, if I want to gain any form of local searches around my content, I must first think about using “Shreveport Real Estate” in the title of my content. This should be a catchy title due to the fact that you want the title to standout in the search engines to force potential leads to click on it.

  • You Can Have Your Cake And The Shreveport Real Estate Market, Too

The titles are eye-catching and will likely get people to click on and share them.

SEO-Friendly Body

This one is really simple since over the years, the game plan has changed when it comes to how many times I need to use my keyword throughout my content. To be honest, there is not hard, concrete answer to this, so I’m going to keep it very simple.

Only use your main keyword in every third paragraph that you write. By doing it like this, you’re able to not over-optimize it, which can throw up red flags and get your content blacklisted.

SEO-Friendly Tags

Ten years ago tags played a big part in how your content ranked online. Google used them a lot to determine a number of ranking factors. But like everything else online, they were used, abused, and just simply ran into the ground over the years.

Now the search engines are a lot smarter, so they rely less on tags. That being said, I still prefer you to use them when possible. It’s better to have them listed than to leave them out because of less ranking factors.

SEO-Friendly Categories

What I have seen more than anything is the use of categories being indexed into the search engines. So for this reason, I will have categories centered around my main keyword, such as “Shreveport Real Estate.”

Now, whenever I write content on my real estate website, I locate it under that category, which will sooner or later hold a lot of weight in the search engines. I’m pretty sure that your local real estate competitors are not using that format.

SEO-Friendly Description

Finally, you should take a moment to write out a full two sentences for your description by only using your keyword once in those two sentences. You don’t have to overthink this process; just keep it simple and to the point.

Possible Results

I’m like 99% sure that the content in my local market and your local market online will not be completely SEO-friendly, as explained above. They will not have what I call “Lucky Charms Keywords.”

Our content will be completely optimized from A to Z, which will hold a lot more authority in the search engines online. You see, as we continue to create awesome “Epic-Wow Content,” we will start to see something magical happen.

Now, this can happen within the first 3 months — or 6 to 9 months down the road. You will start to get what we call long-tail keyword searches finding your content online. What will be the 100% cause of this is having SEO-friendly content.

The search engine will start recognizing your website, and the love will start flowing down to them, bringing you even more traffic. Just remember that this will not happen over night, so be patient and keep writing those 1,000 words a day just like me.
