Now for the nitty gritty of joining us on the show!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Please use this spreadsheet to type your question.<\/a> Please enter your question, name, and email in case a producer needs to reach out after the recording. This is how we choose who joins us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: If you are interested in asking a question, please read through how to join. If you are not using Google Chrome<\/strong>  please switch now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have clicked the link at the bottom of the post, you will be in the <\/span>Audience in our recording studio. <\/b>You can chat and watch the production from here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please make sure you are on a <\/span>desktop or laptop<\/b> computer and in a <\/span>Google Chrome<\/b> browser.  You can also download the Riverside.fm app on Apple. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This does not work on Android mobile phones yet! <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may see this as you first join. That is ok. When we start recording, the video feed will appear on your screen.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Once recording has started and you see the video feed, the option to “start live call in” will appear. <\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below the Live video, you will see a button to \u201cStart Live Call In\u201d<\/span> Click that button and follow the prompts.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an audience member, you can <\/span>click “Start Live Call In”. Fill in your name so we know who you are.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you enter your info, the host or producer will be able to <\/span>accept which allows you to join them on video. You will see a bouncing green icon. <\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This just means you are in waiting. <\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will let you know in the chat who will be up next!<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If this is your first time on the site, you may need to request permissions. To do this, simply <\/span>press “Request Camera Permissions.” <\/b>This will prompt a popup to occur, asking if Riverside can access your microphone and camera. <\/span>Select “Allow.”<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that Riverside has access to your microphone and camera, you can <\/span>setup your audio and video settings<\/b> before joining the session.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once your settings are dialed in, you can enter your name and <\/span>select whether you are wearing headphones. W<\/b>earing headphones is mandatory <\/b>as this will improve audio quality, and reduce any potential feedback or echo (plus it will make your host happy!).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To recap, this is what you will see:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Once the recording has started,<\/strong> you will see the video feed start. Click on “start live call in”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: You will allow permissions and see this box pop up. Please type your name and a brief version on your question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Select “I am using Headphones”.  You will then click “start live call” and hang out until we bring you in. There is a chat off to the side. I will use this to communicate with you as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just hang out until the time you are scheduled and we will “accept” you to come into the recording at that time. <\/b><\/span>\"\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note: <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are all welcome to be in the audience for the full duration of the show. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may need to “rejoin” after the your time in the studio ends. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chat function will be available to ask a producer questions or interact with each other as well. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
