19 Reasons Why You Should Get a Pro Membership NOW!

Hello everyone!  This is my first blog post, so comments on how you'd like to see it done differently are more than welcome.  :-)

I first joined Bigger Pockets as a free member, as I assume most people do.  A friend encouraged me to join and I got on just to be polite.  I started looking around and found a lot of great things on this site.  Then I discovered the webinars!  But alas, I had to be a Pro member to watch old webinars.  "What?  No way!  I'm not spending that much money.  I won't use it that much.  Sure, there's great stuff on here, but free is fine.  I'm doing pretty well with my real estate investing.  I don't need to spend money for no reason."  But I did want to sign up for the upcoming webinar, so I did.

Then came the day of the webinar.  Up until this time, I'd been on BP some, but hadn't yet fallen fully in love.  I excitedly waited for the webinar...Full disclosure, I have a brain injury from Iraq and sometimes simple things are harder for me.  I couldn't figure out how to watch the webinar until it was over.  But thankfully, BP lets free members watch it for 24 hrs (I believe).  So, I pushed play...

Wow!  So much content!  So much valuable information!  It was wonderful! Then, came the part where he pulled a listing off the internet and showed us how to use the Rental Property tool.  Sure, it's cool, but I know how to do cash flow.  Have you ever heard the saying, "You don't know what you don't know?"  Well, I didn't know I was doing cash flow wrong.  I was leaving out things.  Properties would appear to cash flow when in reality, they might not.  DOH!  (An interesting example, on the webinar from 10/24/17, titled "Generate $5000/Month from Single Family House Investing," he pulled an example from the internet and we all knew it would cash flow well and have a great cash on cash ROI.  In fact, during the vote just before viewing the results, something like 80% of people voted that it was a good deal.  Turns out it wasn't.  HUH?  Even HE was surprised.  Cash flow and cash on cash ROI are too complicated to just eyeball!)  The investment tools are AMAZING!  But as a free member, I could only use it 5 times.  I knew that and hadn't wanted to "waste" those 5 times, so I hadn't even opened it yet.  Now I knew what I was missing.

But wait!  There's MORE!  Before the Q&A portion of the webinar, Brandon Turner took a moment to discuss going Pro.  (At least I'm pretty sure it was him, but I was super new, so all those webinar guys looked alike.  lol)  Now, I will admit.  It's not hard to talk me into doing something I hadn't planned to do.  That goes along with my brain injury.  But typically afterward I realize what happened and either get out of the mess I got into or simply regret the whole situation.  But the way Brandon was talking about Pro and all the things you could do!  Well, I was struggling to resist.

The next day I spent hours online playing with the tools and watching webinars!  (It was a Saturday, so I could.)  I just fell further and further in love.  There was just so much information!  And the magic of the tools was intoxicating!  Something looked like a good deal, but I'd run it through the Rental Property tool and discover I was wrong!  Yikes!  It didn't take long to discover that this tool was going to save me thousands of dollars on my next deal!
